The NFPA Collection includes over 800 active Standards, Codes, Tentative Interim Amendments, Manuals, Interpretations, Recommended Practices, and Guidelines, as well as a large selection of the NFPA Handbooks.

These documents cover fire, electrical and building safety.  The following well-known and highly used documents are included in this collection:

  • National Electrical Code - the world's most widely used and accepted code for electrical installations
  • Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems - provides the most comprehensive and current rules for automatic sprinkler system design and installation, including the character and adequacy of water supplies and the selection of sprinklers, piping, and valves
  • Uniform Fire Code (Fire Prevention Code) – provides the requirements necessary to establish a reasonable level of fire safety and property protection in new and existing buildings
  • National Fuel Gas Code - the safety benchmark for fuel gas installations
  • Life Safety Code - establishes minimum requirements for new and existing buildings to protect building occupants from fire, smoke, and toxic fumes

You can subscribe to the entire collection or the following sections:

  • NFPA National Fire Codes – approximately 300 active consensus codes and standards
  • NFPA Handbooks - Based on actual questions from code users, these guides identify the most challenging requirements and then provide in-depth explanations from leading industry authorities
