Scope:
This Standard specifies minimum requirements for balanced
twisted-pair telecommunications cabling components that are used up
to and including the telecommunications outlet/connector and
between buildings in a campus environment. This Standard specifies
the minimum performance requirements for recognized balanced
twisted-pair cabling components as described in
ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.1 (i.e. cable, connectors, connecting hardware,
patch cords, equipment cords, work area cords, and jumpers) and for
the field test equipment used to verify the performance of these
components as installed.
