The U.K. Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) launched its first suite of policies on issues that affect the international and U.K. construction marketplaces.

The initial suite of policies cover such topics as:

  • Education.
  • Health and safety.
  • Sustainability.
  • London Olympics 2012.
  • Others.

"The policy work expresses our position regarding a number of construction issues, as well as reflecting the institute's overall objectives and public benefit agenda," said Michael Brown, CIOB deputy chief executive.

"These policies will continue to develop over time with new topics being added."
