NFPA Launches Online Subscription Service for NEC, NFPA 70E Users

Architectural and building professionals, as well as contractors, use the NFPA 70 NEC and NFPA 70E standards.

Subscribers to necplus.org have access to:

• NFPA 70 – NEC standard.
• NFPA 70E standard.
• Reports on proposals (ROPs).
• Reports on comments (ROCs).
• An archive of previous editions of these documents.
• Editorial content, including feature articles, code topics of the month, industry news and diagrams.

The site was designed to ensure changes to these documents were posted immediately, which according to NFPA, eliminates the need to wait for print updates.

The search engine on the site returns results across documents to enable subscribers to move among different publications and industry-related information, including the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) "White Book."

The subscription features links to relevant entries in ROPs and ROCs, illustrations, staff notes and other information.

NFPA intends to add additional features, podcasts and video to the site in the future.

Interested parties can preview or subscribe to the site at http://www.necplus.org. NFPA is offering a free one-day preview as well as a free no-obligation, seven-day trial period. The regular subscription price is $29.95 per month, with a 10% discount offered to NFPA members.
