Construction Information Service (CIS)

CIS is produced jointly with NBS especially for architects, civil and structural engineers, building control officers, building services engineers and other professionals in the construction industry. CIS provides fundamental industry information and legislation, as well as additional sector material. The extensive range of full-text scanned documents cover all aspects of the building, engineering, design and construction process, allowing you to complete projects accurately and on time.

Delivered Online or on Cd-ROM CIS has more than 3,000 key users that rely on rapid access to the information they require. It is proven in use at many networked locations as well as on stand alone personal computers. No other information service has a comparable track record.

CIS can be supplied only to members of the British Standards Institution or to subscribers who become members within one year of delivery.

CIS can also be used in conjunction with NBS's BRAD, NBS Engineering Service, Specification Manager, Specification Writer, Landscape and Scheduler.

To meet the specialist needs of users from such a wide range of disciplines, CIS is offered in sections so that customers may mix and match to create the information resource they need.We begin with the Core Service, which is the basic service. Optional sections cover supplementary material; they are not available separately from the Core Service.
